camps, excursions & events
Sherbrooke has a vibrant events program - encompassing camps, wellbeing, community enrichment, global citizenship, sustainability, sport, music, arts and more. Here's a just few examples...
Primary camp at sherbrooke, 2016
A much anticipated annual event where the primary students go camping... at school! The event includes a picnic tea, games, movies and sleeping in tents!
Latest Music Night ...
Congratulations to each and every student who rocked out on Performance Night at the end of term two. You were all terrific!
One of the best nights we have had in many a year. Sherbrooke rocks!
The night was a huge success thanks to the following people: Roderick McLeod, Angus Norwood and Alice Woodberry and students Isaac F, Connor P, Iesha C , Andre B, Emily M and Luke H. A special thank you to all our parent volunteers and the VCAL students for serving yummy homemade food and hot beverages on the night. And to all the parents, friends and family who packed out the hall!
Our next big music concert will be in Term Four.
And much much more - see student pages and our school newsletters for even more Sherbrooke fun!
whole school wellbeing day
Best last day of term ever ! Our annual Wellbeing Expo proved to be as fun and even more popular than ever.
Our staff and students had the opportunity to experience different activities to promote a healthy mind and body with energising and relaxing activities.
Some of the fun included Drum Meditation, Body Balance (class of Pilates, Yoga and Tai chi combined), Konga (similar to Zumba), Tai Chi, Origami, diverse art therapies, Karaoke and much more.
The kids particularly loved the team treasure hunt with Easter eggs as prizes! No prizes for guessing why!
This year we also held a sausage sizzle and cake stall as part of the end of term fun.
whole school Coastal camp
At the end of last year Sherbrooke headed off for our annual whole school camp to Camp Manyung.
Our students had a really great time at the beach where they went snorkelling, kayaking, built sand castles, played some French cricket, and relaxed with friends. It was also really amazing to see students of all ages challenge themselves on the giant swing, tree-top course and the other adventure activities.
In the evening, we managed to sneak in some of the old classics such as spotlight and we came up with some new games of our own- the soccer/volleyball combo on the tennis court was a real 'hit', but it still needs a name!
Thanks to all those who joined us and made it another special event. Stay tuned to find out where we will be heading next...
