Mini Round-table Assessments |
Mini Round-table Assessments are run once a year during week three of term three. This is where a student presents to their parents and teacher what they have learnt during semester one. Students discuss their work, what they enjoyed, what they wanted to learn more of and any areas they thought that they could do with more practice. This process is used to inform parents and teachers of a students own thoughts and confidence regarding their own learning as well as providing a point of interest to inform future learning programs. These assessments have been extremely well received by parents with comments such as I felt a lot more involved than the normal parent/teacher interview. and Its great to see the confidence coming out of your child when explaining what they have been achieving. and that, It gives everyone an opportunity to see how everyone interacts, child to teacher, parent to child etc.. These comments have been obtained from a parent questionnaire regarding the assessments which is regularly conducted to ensure the best quality assessment program for students and their parents. |
