Student Wellbeing
At Sherbrooke Community School we understand that the wellbeing of students is vital and linked to their ability to fully utilise opportunities within the school community.
We aim to maintain a positive school community by keeping a school environment that is small and which embraces and nurtures the individuality and independence of each unique student. This can also involve supporting, informing and referring students and families to appropriate services for health and wellbeing concerns such as mental health, parenting support, family support, sexual health, drugs and alcohol and learning support.
Our staff works closely with the student, their family and teachers to assist learning difficulties in a supportive manner. Where appropriate we can gain support from our visiting counsellor, educational psychologist or primary speech pathologist.
Lastly, Sherbrooke Community School is proud to offer a variety of wellbeing programs including Kidsmatter, Big Futures and the Martial Arts Therapy (MAT) program, as well as our whole school "Wellbeing Day" event.
